As the world leader of submersible pumps, mixers and accessories ITT W&WW has been producing products within this field since the 1940's, when Sixten Englesson invented the first submersible drainage pump. The company has since grown into a worldwide corporation, operating in over 130 countries. Throughout the last half century ITT W&WW has continued to lead the submersible industry, with inventions such as the submersible mixer, the submersible sewage pump, and the banana blade mixer. Even today, ITT W&WW continues to be the market innovator, with products such as the N-pump and Dewatering pumps, which promises to revolutionize submersible pumping.

Founded in 1901 the company today produces pumps and mixers on the same site where everything began in the district of Lindås in Southern Sweden


 
Pioneering efforts in the 1940's led to the development of the world's first submersible close-coupled motor driven pump.
 
In 1968 the ownership of Stenberg-Flygt AB is transferred to the American multinational enterprise ITT (International Telephone & Telegraph Corporation).
